Busbridge Bike Bus

In our January newsletter we explained how some local parents were interested in starting a Bike Bus.  A Bike Bus is where parents and children meet together on a regular basis to travel to school in a fun and safer way by cycling together.

The first Busbridge Bike Bus launched on Friday, 1st May on a sunny morning in the Busbridge area. This has been possible through the hard work of local parents wanting to cycle to school with their kids.
The catchment area for Busbridge schools is wide and for some families the idea of cycling up the hill was proving challenging. With this in mind, a route was agreed to allow families living within the Busbridge area to pilot the first Godalming bike bus on a more even and easy terrain.

The feedback from some parents was that with some improvement to the cycling and walking infrastructure the experience would be more enjoyable and safer; this is something we would like to discuss further with Councillors in the future.
